I hate to admit that I only just discovered this song, but it has quickly become one of my favorites. It’s truly beautiful, and I’ve been in this position too many a time. Particularly lately.
I miss cabbies. Sisters. Friends. Weekends. Getting ready to go out with half a dozen girls. Brunches. Trips to City Center. Fried ravioli. Overdosing on caffeine. All-nighters. Einsteins. Random baking excursions. Piling way too many people into a car. Hiding in the corner of the Trib Lib. Midnight frosty runs. Sweet Frog. Cuddling. Slowly figuring out the future. Meeting the people that will be my friends for life. Meeting the girls that will stand next to me at my wedding. Meeting professors who will help guide me to a career. Everything just feels more important at college. Home feels lonely, fruitless, and restless. I’m slowly edging into my mindset from the end of last summer-I just don’t belong here anymore.
Thank you so much for that. If you miss me say hi or something? I’m around. :)
Here are a couple of highlights (I won’t post everything, but these made me smile lots so I thought I’d share) It cracks me up that two of my best friends got me something dinosaur-related, and that a bunch of my home friends got me something tea-related and/or cooking-related. I love you guys, and the things you remember are incredible. I’m so happy that I got to spend my birthday at home, and that I have such wonderful friends-both at CNU and at home.
I literally have the best sisters in the entire world.
I’m still in awe at the crafting abilities of Christine. WHAT EVEN?! WHY WAS I NOT AWARE THAT YOU HAD SUPER POWERS?
But for reals though. Y’all made my birthday really special. I’ll be posting more rando photo sets of my birfday presents tonight but I felt like an SAI post was completely necessary. Love you girls. <3
